Mark Fraiman MD, MBA, FACS

Dr. Fraiman founded The Liver and Pancreas Center in 2006 at St. Joseph Medical Center. Since its inception, The Liver and Pancreas Center has earned a respected reputation nationwide for its expertise in treating patients with liver, biliary, and pancreatic disorders. Dr. Fraiman received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and completed a liver transplantation and hepatobiliary fellowship at UCLA, one of the nation’s leading centers. Richard A. Mackey Jr., MD, FACS

Dr. Mackey is a board certified surgeon specializing in hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery. He received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and completed his residency training in general surgery, as well as his hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic. His primary interests are benign and malignant diseases of the liver, pancreas, biliary system and gastrointestinal tract. Dr. Mackey was named a “Top Doc” by Baltimore Magazine in 2010, 2011, and 2012 for Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery. Joshua Forman, MD

Dr. Forman received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Maryland Center and Baltimore Veterans Affairs Medical Center. After serving as Chief Resident at Mercy Medical Center, he completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, receiving extensive training in Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy. In addition to performing conventional Upper Endoscopy and Colonoscopy, Dr. Forman offers a variety of specialized techniques including advanced therapeutic ERCP, Endoscopic Ultrasound, Esophageal, Enteral and Colonic Stenting, as well as difficult polypectomy.

Deborah Hartley

Deborah Hartley is The Regional Manager for The Liver and Pancreas Center.
In addition to managing the daily operations of the Center, Debbie offers a highly personalized touchpoint for patients with complex hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases. She coordinates the details of their care in an efficient and compassionate manner. With 15 years experience in operations management, Debbie brings special personal attention to every Liver and Pancreas Center patient.
